Okay, let’s talk about this book—IT. IS. WILD. Imagine finding a monster-sized praying mantis in the woods and realizing it’s just the beginning of your problems. That’s what happens to Alex and Jamal, and trust me, their lives do not slow down from there. Secret labs? Check. Creepy corporate bad guys? Yep. Non-stop action? Oh yeah. I tore through this book like a scientist gone rogue, and you will too. If you love crazy science, heart-racing adventure, and characters who refuse to back down, grab this book ASAP. Just… maybe don’t read it before a nature hike. 🦗😱📖

The Chrysalis Project is a high-stakes, fast-paced adventure filled with mystery, danger, and some seriously creepy science. When Alex and Jamal stumble upon a giant mutated praying mantis, their ordinary lives in Greenwood Falls take a wild turn, leading them into a world of secret experiments, shadowy agents, and corporate greed. The story kept me hooked from start to finish, and I loved how it blended action, suspense, and just the right amount of scientific intrigue. It felt like stepping into a sci-fi movie—one I didn’t want to end! If you love thrilling, edge-of-your-seat adventures, this one’s a great read.

The Elderberry & Jones Mysteries

This series of chapter book adventures were written in collaboration with my daughters during the Covid-19 pandemic lockdown. We used role-playing, character sketch building, and voice-to-text to capture ideas to form a story that's both entertaining and accessible to struggling readers, like my daughters.

My daughters were diagnosed with dyslexia and ADHD when they were 7. One of the many challenges we faced was finding "big kid" stories with "little kid" words, and accessible chapter lengths, fonts, paper type. The Elderberry & Jones books are all printed using the OpenDyslexia font on cream-coloured paper, with 1.5 line spaces. There is enough space between lines to put a finger - and the font size is perfect for adults to see without their reading glasses.
